The Electoral Commission (EC) has invited political parties to an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to deliberate on preparations for the upcoming Ayawaso East parliamentary by-election.In a letter dated February 6, 2026, and addressed to the General Secretaries of the political parties, the Commission announced that the meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at its Corporate Head Office in Accra.According to the EC, discussions will focus solely on the conduct and organisation of the by-election. Political parties have been asked to restrict their representation to two delegates each.The letter was signed by Dr. Bossman Eric Asare, Deputy Chairperson in charge of Corporate Services, on behalf of the EC Chairperson.
